Why Business Networking

This was a new concept to Parke Lane People back in 2022 when we signed up to Opendoorz, with the aim of being better connected and in a pier group that can share ideas and best practices. As a sole business owner, it can be lonely with no one to bounce ideas off, share challenges, so I felt I could learn from those more experienced than me to help me grow. Lastly, it was advised to me as a useful marketing strategy, to make potential introductions once relationships and trust was built.

Why Opendoorz

I was made aware of Opendoorz by a couple of members I knew and invited to come along as a guest. Having tried a couple of other forms of networking and decided they weren’t for me; I liked the feel of Opendoorz and the fit felt right with the team comradery. The values were aligned with mine and the balance of meeting every two weeks was just right. There is a good balance of both business sizes across the group, ranging from one-man bands to companies of 50+ and most importantly, all the members are well connected with a common goal – wanting to see other small businesses succeed.

The Opendoorz Approach

From experiencing other networking groups and picking up on what a large number of our guests say, Opendoorz is far more structured, insightful genuine and fun. There’s a level of commitment in place that’s proven to get results, and is heavily focused around meeting other members to get to understand each other’s companies in more detail, as well as socialising together to build stronger relationships. There is also a focus on inviting like minded guests on board to grow our groups with the right people.

The Results

In the two years we have been a member, we have really embraced Opendoorz, smashing the KPI’s to meet numerous members and build new working relationships, some of which have since become good friends. Wherever possible, we’ve looked to use the group to find a new supplier for any of our requirements, for example office supplies, coaching, new website and ongoing marketing support. This has been reciprocated to great effect, with other members not only using our Recruitment services for their own companies, but also making introductions to some of their contacts. We’ve never felt better connected!
