Working takes up a lot of Petrova’s time, the rest of the time she enjoys socialising with friends and family, especially treating her nephews! Whether it is London for culture or a tea shop in a quaint village after a walk in the countryside, she likes getting out and about.

Work Hard…

Petrova initially joined Lightfoots LLP in 2016 as a locum in the Family Department, six years later she is the Head of Department and a Partner. 
She advises clients following the breakdown of a relationship, whether that be marriage or cohabitation, as well as advising those preparing for marriage or entering cohabitation. Advising on matters relating to children and finances, as well as the actual divorce. Offering advice to clients as well as mediation. 
Petrova entered family law as she wanted to help people, for her the law is about people’s rights, ensuring they feel empowered to take the next step in their journey. Part of that is being a member of Resolution, an organisation committed to assisting couples with a non-confrontational approach to resolving matters. 
The Family Department at Lightfoots made the shortlist in 2021 at the Family Law Awards for Dispute Resolution Team of the year. 
Amongst the many awards the firm has earned, perhaps the most special are being been named Oxfordshire’s Solicitors of the Year for two consecutive years by Oxfordshire Prestige Awards and Employer of the Year in the Thame Town Awards 2021.
