Riding for the Disabled Association
What we offer
Our purpose is to enrich lives by connecting disabled people with horses and the urgency of our mission has never been greater, with 1 in 4 people in the UK having some form of disability.
There is proven evidence that horses change lives.
Whether that is participants who choose not to speak, asking their pony to walk on or a disengaged participant arriving, expressionless and grumpy, beaming with happiness as soon as they sit on horse.
Riding physically improves muscle tone and core strength through the horses movement and we see participants build self-confidence and self-esteem giving them a huge sense of achievement.
We support 64 participants withing the disabled community across South Oxfordshire and Reading.
