I set up my firm in 2014 after a decade in corporate. The corporate model works and properties do get sold and let, but the staff burnout that comes with it is unfair and unsustainable – and frankly doesn’t get properties let and sold any better, it just adds more to the company owners’ bottom lines.
I want to show that things can be done differently. We agents really can, if we want to, come in and enjoy our jobs, go home relaxed, not have to work every waking hour and all weekend long. And guess what? We can still get the jobs done for our clients, and not only that but they want that for us too!
Wallers Estate Agents has fun with the traditional model of high street estate agency, with offices that feel more like a cafe – including top notch coffee from our machine! Our staff can work flexibly – 9:30 until 5-ish… and that means if they need to go at 3pm to see their children play rugby, that’s fine… if they want to stay a bit later to make sure the client they are helping find their dream home can view after they finish work, also fine. It has to be about balance.
We provide all the marketing you would expect from a top notch agent, including virtual tours and professional photography, floor plans, listings on Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket, PrimeLocation, Boomin… Our goal is to bring upmarket marketing to the general market place.
But most importantly it is about being personal and friendly about it, not just professional, and about giving back to our community at the same time.
