Play Hard…

When I'm not designing your homes, I'm busy designing and renovating my own home. I might be trained to do the drawings, but I love doing the building work just as much. Much to my wife’s despair, I will only consider living in a house that I can completely redesign and remodel myself. We're now onto our second renovation in Surrey, where we live with our two cats – the ever-mischievous Loki & Odin.

Work Hard…

I became a chartered architect in 2016, gaining qualifications from The University of Kent and Westminster University. During my career, I've worked for property developers and contractors so my role has always surpassed that of a typical architect. I've always worked closely with contractors on site and acted, not just as the project architect, but as the contractor, project manager and as the site foreman. It’s these roles that have given me an understanding of how construction works in reality, not just on drawings.

I founded Raw Architects in 2019, having seen the shortfall of traditional architects during my time as a contractor. Our approach is simple and straightforward: we believe successful projects stem from a strong relationship between you, your architect, and your contractor. In my eyes, an architect’s job is only done when the final lick of paint is applied, not once the drawings are submitted.
