Why Opendoorz
For Carrie, the answer to ‘why Opendoorz?’ is simple… ‘It’s the calibre of the people in the room that makes Opendoorz stand out over and above any other networking I’ve ever been to.’ she says. As a long-established, independent law practice reputation is crucially important. ‘We have an amazing heritage to uphold at Hedges and being part of Opendoorz endorses that. We know the connections we make through Opendoorz will be high calibre business professionals and that the relationships we develop will be valuable to both us and our clients.’ Carrie also rates the meeting structure at Opendoorz. ‘There’s a great balance between serious business and enjoyable education. The quality of the conversations are superb, I always learn something and I always leave feeling inspired. It’s a very supportive environment.’
The Opendoorz Approach
For Carrie, Opendoorz isn’t all about growing business opportunities. ‘Of course there are plenty of sound business reasons for being an Opendoorz member but it’s so much more than that!’ Carrie believes Opendoorz has been hugely beneficial to her own personal development. ‘I’ve definitely grown my skill set since joining Opendoorz. All of the members are so open and happy to share their knowledge, plus leading CPD sessions and delivering showcase presentations has really helped me to develop these skills.’ Carrie also loves the way Opendoorz gives her a working space away from the office. ‘It’s like a little bit of professional ‘me time’!’ she says ‘I can think about work objectively, get trusted opinions from professionals and grow my own knowledge.’
The Results
‘Obviously’ says Carrie ‘Opendoorz has to work for Hedges financially and it really does. From introductions to referrals to members using us directly our Opendoorz membership has more than paid for itself.’
However, Carrie maintains that the results aren’t purely financial. ‘Opendoorz is good marketing for Hedges. It helps us maintain our position and reputation as a well-established brand and part of the Oxfordshire business community. It’s also an excellent way to maintain our professional development as we constantly strive to be the best we can be for our clients.’
