“Outside work, life is busy in all the best ways. I’m a mum to three boys from 12 to 18, so I’m usually at a sports pitch or running round after them. When I get time to myself, I like walking my dog with my husband, heading out for a run, going to the gym or embarrassing the kids by playing their sport – it’s currently cricket but before that it was rugby! Exercise helps me switch off and think more clearly but it’s always with others as community is important to me.People have always been my focus. I’m interested in what helps them thrive, how they learn, and what gets in the way. That curiosity shapes the way I approach my work. I try to create space for honest conversation, stay calm under pressure, and help leaders feel more confident when things get tricky. We are all individuals and that sits at the heart of the way I work and the relationships I build.”

Highlight People was born because we could see so many growing organisations struggling with the people side of things and feeling overwhelmed by it.

HR can feel confusing, stressful and time-consuming. Policies, performance issues, change, difficult conversations… it all pulls leaders away from actually running the business. Our role is to make it clearer, calmer and much more manageable.

We work alongside CEOs, founders and senior teams as trusted HR and People Development partners. Most clients don’t need a full-time HR team, but they do want more depth and support with sensible, practical advice they can rely on, at an affordable price, when they need it. Our flexible solutions mean we might deliver strategic support one day and practical employment law advice the next, depending on your priorities.

There’s no one-size-fits-all. Every business, every leader and every situation is different. We take time to understand the culture, the people and the pressures, then shape solutions that truly fit. That can include people strategy, leadership capability, performance, engagement, employee relations and change.

We use our “building blocks” approach so everything connects — policies, behaviour, systems and leadership all working together to stop issues before they start and set your teams up for success.

What matters most to us is impact: fewer headaches, stronger conversations, confident leaders and teams who actually enjoy coming to work.

We’re here to support growth, reduce stress and help organisations build people-centred, sustainable ways of working.
