Outside of work I would describe myself as proud husband and father to two young children, an occasional runner, distinctly average golfer, avid reader, armchair sports fan, tortured Gloucester rugby supporter and a keen walker - ably supported by my loyal companion, Quincy.
We help business owners and their families plan how they are going to finance life.
By establishing what clients really want out of life against their current position, I work alongside them to put a plan in place as to how get there given their individual circumstances. No one client is the same; not only do objectives and circumstances vary but so does the journey that different people are prepared to take.
Through discussion and exploration of what is most important, we can help establish what is possible and how to manage the trade-offs. With high quality and robust planning, asset management, tax and product advice, it is my aim to help clients make more of their money and give them a better chance of hitting their objectives than they otherwise would by themselves.
For me, the trick is to provide information to my clients about their various options including the potential implications (both positive and negative) allowing them to make decisions they feel comfortable with.
Because the future is never certain, it is impossible to put the perfect plan in place but it is possible to tilt the scales so the weight of probability lies in your favour. This way, if things do take a turn for the worse, whether that is related to your personal life, work, change of tax legislation or market turbulence, these things come as less of a surprise so you can adapt your plans to the new future.
